The Museum Milavida’s new exhibition basks in the top of fashion.
The Masterpieces of Fashion exhibition showcases the glamorous and colorful history of fashion from the 1770s to the 2010s. Sparkle, elegance and drama are served by the costumes of the world’s top fashion designers such as Paul Poiret, Elsa Schiaparelli, Versace, Jean-Paul Gaultier and Alexander McQueen. The oldest layer of fashion is represented by a magnificent woman’s court dress from France from the 1770s.
The Masterpieces of Fashion is based on the exhibition produced by the Fashion Museum in Riga. 30 costumes will be on display in Museum Milavida.
Anne-Mari Pahkala, a Finnish designer, brings a fresh Finnish touch to the international scene with a dazzling custom-made gown. This unique evening gown was worn by actress Alma Pöysti at the Golden Globe Awards in January 2024.
