Advice for your museum visit

Follow this advice for a smooth and enjoyable visit that also allows other visitors to enjoy their museum experience.

Do not touch the artefacts or showcases unless this is specifically permitted.

Photography is allowed in the exhibition area, but do not use a flash. You may share your photos via social media – use the hashtag #milavida.

Do not bring food or drinks into the exhibition area. Any snacks or bottles can be left in a locker for the duration of your visit.

Museum Milavida does not have parking for visitors. The nearest car parks are P-Plevna (Polttimonkatu 5) and P-Anttila (Näsilinnankatu 13). Also, parking is available along the nearby streets for a fee. Free parking for the disabled, which requires the appropriate badge, is available outside Milavida (one parking space).

Museum Milavida is accessible to wheelchair-users. Also, a pushchair and a wheelchair are available at the information desk for borrowing for the duration of your visit.

An unguarded area for storage of outdoor clothes and free-of-charge lockers are available for visitors’ use. You can collect a locker token at Café Milavida. Leave all backpacks, umbrellas, and bags in the clothes storage area or a locker.

Children seven years of age or under must be directly supervised by their parents or guardians throughout their museum visit.

Groups of schoolchildren must be monitored by their teacher throughout their visit.

No running or loud noises in the museum, please.

Please allow guided tours to proceed without interruption!

Mobile guidance in both Finnish and English is available to visitors at no charge. You can borrow an audio-guide device from the staff in the exhibition area on the second floor.
